Have you ever had someone you may have gone to high school with or maybe college or a prior work place colleague look you up on Facebook or some other social media site and suddenly want to be your 'best buddy'? Someone long gone from your everyday thoughts or so long off the radar screen that it took you a few minutes to even recognize where you knew them from?
So, had one of these types contact me recently. I have no desire to 'reconnect' since there wasn't much of a connection to begin with. What makes people seek out virtual strangers to them later in life and try and strike up a friendship? It just seems odd to me. I don't think this was really going on before social media made it so easy to find anyone, anywhere.
