Why o Why aren't these posters ever banned? < confused_pdx >

Is it b/c they are paid ads? Do those get to violate the TOU?

There are many posters which violate the spam/keyword rule, local and multiple posting rule. I merrily flag away to no effect (other than CL hides them from me) ... what's the point of flagging if nothing happens?

For example ... search my CL for "fire brick" and find a ... truck that is a 2000+ mile drive and 5 states away. (https://portland.craigslist.org/grg/hvd/d/peterbilt-cummins-in-house-financing/7391135896.html). Its NOT local, its posted all over the place and the keyword spam is over 1200 lines and nearly 3000 words.

My other favorite .. anything from RepurposedMaterialsinc.com ...the same "fire brick" search returns this https://portland.craigslist.org/grg/mad/d/unused-non-slip-grip-mats-multi-purpose/7390109969.html which ONLY has 511 irrelevant words, is also ~2,000 miles away, requires shipping, directs me to their website, etc.

People trying to give-away a cat but state "Kitten - $25 with immunization" instead of "rehoming for $25 to cover immunization cost" are (perhaps correctly) flagged and de-listed, why can't these clowns stop littering my CL with irrelevance?

Sure I can click the box for "search titles only" and that cleans up the results significantly, but what is the point of a TOU if these folks flaunt their repeated violations?

Just confused about it all ... please help me make sense of it.
