Why are there so many homeless people < douglas_hunter >

in America? Why then are there so many people on welfare and receiving food stamps/SNAP? Are they all lazy bums?

Even for those who do get a job flipping hamburgers at the likes of McDonlad's, working in a mobile phone store, working at Walmart or doing janitor work in office buildings, how can minimum wage be expected to be a genuine living income with housing, food, utilities and cars being so high-priced as they are nowadays?

It seems is if there is not enough earned money to pay for all these high-price things. Job pay and decent-paying job availability for Americans is not on par with American living and living costs.
