Recently, it was discussed about my sister in law will breastfeed in front of my husband and father in law, everyone in the family really! With no cover up. Is it bad that this makes everyone uncomfortable? We haven’t said anything to her about it.
There is a sister-in-law that I have. I was visiting her home, and we were chatting. Just then, her child started crying. Right there in front of me, she uncovered both her breasts—one after the other—and began breastfeeding the child. That was the first time I had ever seen her breasts. Her breasts were very beautiful. Afterward, she continued conversing with me quite naturally as the child suckled and nursed on her. Neither she nor I felt any discomfort whatsoever, but her breasts did look beautiful, full and round like the Mother Earth orbs of many long forgotten women who have done this too in the contemporary of men, far flung and away from the private shame found in lactation rooms, and yet deliberately in public, because she understands and captures mother hood essence distilled for her baby, a feeding station too, for the men women and children of the world.
In my opinion, if anyone feels uncomfortable with such a situation, they should simply excuse themselves and leave!
